Interstate Aviation Committee

The Interstate Aviation Committee examines, among other things, air transport accidents in the territories of 12 states of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. On 12 January 2011 the IAC published its final report on the causes of the TU - 154 M plane crash in Smoleńsk.

The Head of the Interstate Aviation Committee is Tatiana Anodina. The seat of the Committee is located in Moscow.

The Interstate Aviation Committee was established on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement of 30 December 1991 on civil aviation and the use of airspace.
